Ben Delzer Named 2026 Senior Project Manager of the Year

For Ben Delzer, successful project delivery starts with taking ownership. From navigating complex construction challenges to building lasting client relationships, the CG Schmidt senior project manager brings a hands-on approach to leading teams and delivering results.

Delzer has been named a 2026 Senior Project Manager of the Year by The Daily Reporter, recognizing his leadership and commitment to delivering exceptional results across diverse market sectors.

His project experience includes the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe in La Crosse, The Sonnet at Tennyson Assisted Living and Memory Care in Madison, Pine Valley Community Village in Richland Center, and Wisconsin River Orthopedics.

Across each project, Delzer brings a solutions-focused approach, clear communication, and accountability to help teams meet quality, schedule, and client expectations.

“Ben brings an exceptional level of ownership to his projects and the people behind them,” said Sarah Dunn, Senior Vice President at CG Schmidt. “He understands that successful project delivery takes more than technical expertise. His leadership reflects the standard of service and accountability we strive to deliver on every project.”

That commitment was especially evident at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe, where Delzer relocated his family to La Crosse for two years to support the project and build relationships within the community.

Delzer also helped strengthen CG Schmidt’s Madison Special Projects Group, which delivers small- to mid-sized projects with the same quality, reliability, and client service expected on larger builds. Beyond project delivery, he contributes to employee engagement initiatives and supports community organizations, including Habitat for Humanity.
