CG Schmidt welcomes John Richter as Director of Business Development at the firm’s Corporate Headquarters, bringing an experienced relationship builder and community leader to the team.
Richter has built a career at the intersection of construction, real estate development, legal services, and nonprofit leadership, where he has connected people, cultivated partnerships, and helped organizations identify growth opportunities.
In his new role, he will draw on that experience to strengthen client and industry relationships, develop new opportunities, and support CG Schmidt’s continued growth across the markets it serves.

Richter also brings a strong record of community leadership to his role. He serves on the boards of the Waukesha County Community Foundation and I Have A Dream Foundation–Milwaukee, and is involved in multiple committees with Meta House. Through these commitments, he supports initiatives that strengthen communities and create lasting impact across southeastern Wisconsin.
