In Awards

The awards recognize creative and innovative communications services for schools across Wisconsin.

CG Schmidt was honored with two Spectrum Awards from the Wisconsin School Public Relations Association (WSPRA). The awards recognize outstanding writing, design and school communications materials that showcase creativity, talent and professional public relations.

The first entry summarizes the Randall Consolidated School referendum campaign and highlights CG Schmidt’s referendum services — from the research and planning phases to community engagement stages and all the way through to a successful referendum vote. The capital referendum passed with 54.01% of the vote, 909 to 774. The operational referendum passed with 51.44% of the vote, 860 to 812. Four Kenosha county school districts placed referendum questions on the 2023 spring election ballots, but only the Randall School District referendum successfully  passed.

The second entry illustrates facilities needs at Two Rivers Public School District and is explained by the people who best know the school and community. CG Schmidt assisted the district with video development in addition to full-service referendum support. The $38.7 million school referendum passed in November 2022, with 3,190 voting to approve and 1,894 voting to decline.
