Northwestern Mutual North Office
The Northwestern Mutual North Office Building is an 18-story workplace originally constructed in 1990. The Gilbane | CG Schmidt joint venture team modernized the existing building with a new façade, updated building systems and interiors, and enhanced spaces designed to serve Northwestern Mutual’s workforce, field team, and community.
Office Modernization: Leveraging the existing structure, the modernization transformed the North Office Building into a state-of-the-art workplace while preserving the foundation of the original building. A new pedestrian plaza and entry, employee amenities, and event spaces throughout the lower floors and surrounding site created a more modern, welcoming environment for employees and the community.
