Pecatonica Area School District
Pecatonica Area School District serves elementary, middle, and high school students in southwest Wisconsin, providing safe, modern, and engaging learning environments that support student success. In 2018, the district partnered with CG Schmidt to identify school facility improvement opportunities and implement upgrades that strengthen infrastructure, improve energy efficiency, and support long-term operational needs.
Scope of Work: The project included a district-wide facilities assessment evaluating building systems, energy performance, and learning environments. Based on the assessment, CG Schmidt completed targeted school facility upgrades focused on energy efficiency, safety, and building performance. Improvements included LED lighting upgrades, HVAC system improvements, and installation of new gymnasium fans to enhance comfort and air circulation.
Additional work included building envelope repairs to improve durability and energy performance, expanded school security systems with new cameras at the elementary school, and updates to the high school technology education space to support modern curriculum and hands-on learning.
Sustainable Design: Energy-efficient LED lighting and HVAC upgrades reduce operational costs while minimizing environmental impact. Improvements to building envelopes and learning spaces enhance long-term durability, safety, and flexibility, helping the district responsibly manage resources while planning for future educational needs.
