Implemented a series of transformative energy upgrades, including replacing a 550-kW diesel generator with solar panels and battery storage, and converting a gas-powered HVAC system to a ground-source heat pump. These improvements brought the facility significantly closer to achieving its net-zero energy goals. The scope of work focused on replacing outdated, carbon-intensive systems with modern, sustainable technologies—aligning with the monastery’s long-term environmental and operational objectives.
