Chapel of the Holy Family

Completed a renovation of Marquette University’s Chapel of the Holy Family, transforming an underutilized 1990s-era worship space into a vibrant and multi-faith chapel designed for spiritual reflection and cultural inclusion. Located within the Alumni Memorial Union, the project included the installation of smart electrochromic glass systems, a new oculus skylight and newly created exterior openings to enhance natural light and visibility.

Renovations also featured upgraded MEPFP systems, interior finish enhancements, and the addition of a symbolic “mandorla” ceiling motif. Acoustic performance was improved throughout, and modern audio-visual systems were installed to support a wide range of programming. Working within an active campus setting and coordinated phased logistics and dual-shift scheduling to minimize disruption. The revitalized chapel now serves as a welcoming and inclusive spiritual destination for students, faculty and the Milwaukee community.
