Yavapai County Health Department

The Yavapai County Health Department remodel & addition modernized and expanded an existing healthcare facility to better serve the growing public health needs of the community.

Scope of Work: The project included extensive renovations to the existing clinic and construction of a new building addition. Work included structural modifications, new foundations and concrete, masonry and steel elements, roofing improvements, interior finishes, casework, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, fire alarm systems and associated site improvements.

Healthcare Design: The remodel and addition were designed to improve the patient experience while creating a more efficient environment for staff and healthcare operations. Reconfigured reception and client intake areas, improved clinic layouts and circulation, expanded treatment and service areas, and added new meeting and office spaces provide greater capacity and flexibility for the County’s evolving needs.

Design-Build Collaboration: As a design-build partner, CG Schmidt worked closely with Yavapai County, facility users, and the design team to align project goals, operational needs, and budget requirements. Thoughtful preconstruction planning and collaborative decision-making helped maximize value while working within the strict budget parameters. The facility provides Yavapai County with a more functional, welcoming, and adaptable healthcare environment, increasing capacity and supporting improved access to public health services for residents throughout the region.
