Milwaukee Public Market

Located in Milwaukee’s Historic Third Ward, the Milwaukee Public Market brings together locally owned businesses and independent vendors, creating a vibrant indoor market hall that supports local commerce, dining, and community engagement.

Community Development: The Milwaukee Public Market was developed to continue the revitalization of Milwaukee’s Historic Third Ward. The market provides space for a diverse mix of independent, locally owned businesses offering fresh and prepared foods, artisan products, and ethnic specialties. The project also creates opportunities for gathering and programming. The second-floor Palm Garden provides additional dining space and includes a demonstration kitchen for community cooking classes, while also serving as a special event space. A seasonal outdoor farmers market further expands the market’s offerings for residents and visitors.

Sustainable Design: Green design was incorporated throughout the project, reflecting an emphasis on sustainable development within an urban environment. CG Schmidt’s pre-construction and construction services supported the coordination and delivery of these elements while navigating the complexities of construction in an established downtown neighborhood.
