The two-story expansion within an existing Ronald McDonald House Charities building totals approximately 39,000 SF and includes 10 guest rooms, a common kitchen area, a new main entry and reception area, community room, event kitchen and play and activity areas. The basement addition includes storage areas as well as 32 underground parking spaces.
This renovation also requires utility work encompassing a rerouting and extension of the existing building sewer and installation of new sewer and water laterals independent from the existing structure. Additional installation includes of 215 feet of storm sewer, 200 feet of insulated water main, and an overflow culvert to prevent runoff blockages. Storm water runoff is designed to flow directly to the east neighboring Milwaukee Regional Medical Center detention pond.
