Ascension Ozaukee Sacred Heart Rehabilitation Hospital

HEALTHCARE

Located within Ascension Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital, this four-phase, 22,000 SF buildout of an existing shell space in the north patient tower allows for specialized inpatient care for patients who may have experienced a stroke, orthopedic or neuromuscular disorders, spinal cord injuries or brain injuries. Due to the specific nature of patient needs, the project included 21 patient rooms and bathrooms and two gym spaces, providing space and comfort to carry out treatment plans by Sacred Heart’s team of doctors, rehabilitation-certified nurses, speech-language pathologists, nutritionists and therapists. A family lounge and multiple staff workrooms, offices and break rooms complete the tower’s renovations. This area of the hospital also received skywalk renovations and a new egress route to allow for accessible stairwell entrance and exit. CG Schmidt planned and adhered to an aggressive project schedule to open the tower renovation space to Ascension staff by the end of the fiscal year.
