2021 CG Schmidt Scholarship Recipient
The selection committee for the CG Schmidt Scholarship Program is proud to announce Stephen Krcma as the recipient of the 2021 CG Schmidt Scholarship. Stephen has demonstrated academic excellence, displayed a broad range of activity and leadership outside of the academic setting, and has showed strong promise for succeeding in college and beyond.
Stephen graduated from Stoughton High School at the top of his class with a 4.0 grade point average. When he is not immersed in his studies, he spends his extracurricular time as a member of varsity tennis, the concert choir and the symphony band.
Passionate about being of service to others, Stephen works as a part-time Personal Care Worker assisting six clients with daily living activities. He is active in the St. Ann’s Youth Group and Boy Scouts of America.
“Thank you sincerely for awarding me the CG Schmidt Scholarship. This fall I will be attending Wartburg College and I’m going to be majoring in Music Therapy. And so, the money from the scholarship really goes a long way in helping me achieve my goals of helping people in any way I can especially using the gift of music and being able to share that with other people,”
