BARABOO SCHOOL DISTRICT: PHASES 1-3

In 2014, CG Schmidt helped Baraboo School District pass their first referendum in over 20 years to complete safety and security upgrades as well as deferred maintenance issues across all seven schools in the District. The $9.9M referendum projects addressed maintenance issues such as replacing aged roofing, upgrading HVAC systems, improving the parking area and replacing windows. Also included was an office renovation, a library addition, and safety and security upgrades.

The remainder of the work identified during Master Planning was split into subsequent phases. Phase 2 of the referendum included the $21.9M revitalization of Baraboo High School in 2016. CG Schmidt renovated classrooms including Tech Ed, Physical Education, Art, and Family and Consumer Science. Also included were flexible and adaptable learning spaces, expanded cafeteria and student commons, remodeled library and student services offices, updated locker rooms, mechanical upgrades including HVAC and fire sprinkler system installation, and basic improvements including carpet and flooring.

CG Schmidt is currently engaged with Baraboo School District in the $41.7M Phase 3 of their Master Plan. Phase 3 includes additions and renovations to repair aging infrastructure, modernize outdated teaching and learning spaces, and expand undersized common areas at Jack Young Middle School.
