Marquette University High School

The transformative two-story vertical addition and renovation at Marquette University High School were part of a phased master plan that maximized emerging trends in college preparatory environments while maintaining the rich history and tradition of this Jesuit high school. Renovated spaces include the Henke Center entrance, controlled security, campus ministry, counseling, administration areas/faculty offices and classrooms. Additions include a new academic success center, large tiered lecture hall, collaboration areas for large or small group instruction, and areas for one-on-one meetings. A light-filled vertical circulation connects the second and third floors within the addition and ancillary spaces around the stair provide beautiful options for informal gathering and study. On the third floor an outdoor “porch” hugs the addition providing students the ability to study outside or simply step out for fresh air. Natural light abounds while re-programming has improved departmental adjacencies benefiting students, staff and faculty.
