SUPERINTENDENT - CHICAGO AREA

Position Summary:  The Superintendent reports to the Vice President of Field Operations and manages the physical construction of projects assigned to him/her.  This position is responsible for the overall performance of assigned projects and field crew assigned to the project.  This position is available for the Chicago area.

Major Responsibilities:
• Utilizes cost control methods for projects.
• Creates and follows the project schedule in conjunction with the Project Manager/Project Engineer.
• Ensures projects quality.
• Performs necessary documentation.
• Provides project safety.
• Communicates with Project Manager, Project Engineer, architect and owner, as applicable.
• Follows field policies and procedures.
• Provides short-term scheduling.
• Monitors and controls productivity.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

Position Background Requirements:  Associate Degree in Construction Supervision and/or a minimum of seven (7) years related experience in superintendent role.  Possesses good construction knowledge, understanding of cost, scheduling ability, and the ability to manage and control project personnel. Large project experience preferred.
