SCHEDULING ENGINEER
The Scheduling Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing a CGS company-wide scheduling philosophy that demonstrates expertise and competence to our customers while supporting CGS project and corporate scheduling needs. This position reports to the Director of Healthcare/Senior Living.
Major Responsibilities:
Develop a consistent approach to project scheduling that is embraced by Project Team members. The approach that is developed should support cohesiveness between Project Managers and Superintendents.
Develop a consistent approach to Preconstruction schedules that is embraced by Project Team members
Identify key quality assurance activities (governmental approvals, procurement, inspections, punchlist, closeout, commissioning) and incorporate, in a systematic manner, into every project schedule.
Research and identify preferred scheduling software and systems. Implement appropriate software and systems and become the “In House” expert and source of support.
Develop a centralized repository of schedule types and standards (proposal, pre-con, construction, etc.) as a resource for users.
Support project team members as they develop and maintain schedules. Perform project scheduling input and maintenance as required.
Support internal CGS staffing and resourcing activities. Prepare periodic staff/resource reports that document current and projected resource utilization.
Develop scheduling interface in conjunction with BIM initiatives.
Develop a system of periodic project schedule updates and provide a CGS summary report that documents current project schedule projections versus target schedules. Perform on-site audits of all projects that are significantly behind schedule.
Provide project cash flow analysis where required.
Develop a systematic approach to project CGS company revenue on a monthly basis.
Work in conjunction with CGS University to develop and implement training programs.
Position Background Requirements:
Requires an associate degree or equivalent, with 3-5 years construction project exposure. Requires the ability to communicate effectively with staff, clients, and vendors. Requires the ability to work independently with a continuous improvement mentality. Ability to clearly and concisely develop and document developed procedures.
